Shipping, Customs & Returns

Below are the questions we hear most often from international customers. If your question isn't answered here, just message us — we usually reply within 24 hours.

1. How long does shipping take?

Each daruma is hand-painted in our Fukushima studio, so orders ship within 2–5 business days. International transit takes a further 5–12 business days depending on destination. Tracking is provided for every order.

2. Will I be charged customs duties?

Possibly. Customs duties and import taxes vary by country and are paid by the recipient. We declare every parcel as "Japanese hand-painted craft" at full value. For most countries (USA, EU, UK, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong) duties on handcrafts under USD $200 are typically minimal or zero. Please check your local customs threshold if you are unsure.

3. What if my daruma arrives damaged?

Each daruma is hand-packed with shock cushioning. In the unlikely event your piece arrives damaged, send a photo within 7 days of delivery and we will ship a replacement at no charge.

4. Can I return or exchange?

Because every daruma is hand-painted, we generally do not accept returns for change of mind. Damaged shipments and our shipping mistakes are always covered by us — please reach out and we will make it right.

5. How do I track my order?

You will receive a tracking number by email when your order ships. Tracking links use Japan Post / EMS / DHL depending on destination.

6. Do you ship worldwide?

Yes — we ship to over 110 countries. Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.
